Introduced to curling: My brother and sister were introduced to curling through a school programme and I would go and watch them practicing and playing. When I was 6 years old my sister invited me on to the ice and I was hooked from that point on.
Interests: Played golf for South of Scotland under 18 team.
Role model: Tiger Woods
Parents/siblings in the sport: Ruaraidh Whyte coached Spain’s mixed doubles team to world bronze medal in Dumfries.
Best /favourite curling rink/s: Gangneung Curling Centre, PyeongChang.
Future Goals: Win an Olympic gold medal. Continue to get stronger in the gym and hit goals I want to achieve.
Pre game rituals: No rituals as such, just enjoy listening to music before a game.

Additional achievements: Ross Whyte was the alternate (5th man) for Team Mouat when they won gold at the European Championships in 2018 and was due to join them again at the 2020 World Curling Championships in Glasgow which were cancelled due to Covid 19. Ross was selected as Team Mouat’s alternate for the 2021 World Championships in Calgary, Canada.
