TEAM BRYCE GET SLAM CHALLENGE OFF TO WINNING START

Posted on

Team Bryce got their Slam challenge off to an impressive start today at the Tour Challenge Tier 2 event, hosted in the Pictou County Wellness Centre in Nova Scotia (6-10 November).

The Scottish rink beat Saskatoon’s Team Muyres 9-3 in their opening game.

Commenting on the line-up this week, skip Cameron Bryce said: “The Tier 2 field is strong and they are competing most weeks against the Tier 1 teams, so they are used to playing at a high level.”

However, despite the stiff opposition, Bryce is relishing the opportunity to experience Nova Scotia for the first time as well as the Slam environment, whilst watching some of the world’s best teams.

“This is the first time I have experienced a Slam and it is also the first time for Craig (Waddell). It is what we train for, to be able to compete against some of the best teams in the world," he said.

“With both events in the same venue, it is great to feed off the buzz of the Tier 1 Slam and also means when we are not competing, we can go and watch some top level curling.”
